Luang Prabang World Heritage Town

Intermediate Class Group One
LEOT SCHOOL
Luang Prabang World Heritage Town

Welcome to Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage Town where you can see a lot of things about Lao traditions and customs and which all identify with the materials and thoughts from the ancient times to the present times of the civilisation and which have been well kept

Luang Prabang residents are very proud of having much goodwill and friendship to show to guests and are always willing to offer hospitality in a spirit of politeness. Luang Prabang residents are modest and etiquette is important in talking to visitors and we try to talk about the present times as well as older times and we take this very seriously so that when people leave our city they will have a better understanding of the people who live here as well as looking at the beauty of Luang Prabang.
Luang Prabang has many interesting festivals such as Lao New Year Festival, boat racing festivals; festivals celebrating the teachings of the Buddha and festivals that celebrate the birth, death and attainment of Buddha. There are also ancestor festivals, Buddhist Lent and special celebrations at the end of Buddhist Lent. The festival that most visitors to Luang Prabang seem to know about it Pi Mai and it is also the favourite festival of the students who prepared this article about Luang Prabang for you.

We hope you enjoy reading this information about Luang Prabang prepared by the following students from
LEOT Intermediate English Class for our Blog
The participants in the One Go Group are:
Novice Keo, Mr Tony, Miss Siavang and Mr Bourmee
